A nonsensically plotted historical romance that cannot decide if it's a steamy romance or a comical farce. The tonal shifts are as rapid as the hot sex scenes which feature a nude Alica Vikander but also unfortunately a nude Dane DeHaan (whom this site does not even list as a cast member). Certain cast members do well enough despite the poor script such as Christoph Waltz who's really not that bad a person in this, and Holliday Grainger as a snarky maid.
