Harrison Ford excels playing against type as a beleaguered doctor trying to locate his kidnapped wife in Paris. He enlists a young courier (Seigner) to navigate the seedy Parisian underworld. Polanski's direction is solid but the sound was terrible and some plot threads go nowhere.
