Seeing a movie that has a cast like Tim Roth, Uma Thurman, Maggie Q, Crispin Glover, Parker Posey, Alice Eve, and Sofia Vergara sounds like it'd be entertaining. But Hollywood loves to deflate expectations these days. 'THE CON IS ON' was labeled as 'The Brits are Coming' which sounds like a fish-out-of-water comedy. Instead it's actually a less obnoxious version of that other awful caper MORTDECAI. While again, it may not be as annoying but it is still just as wrong headed in execution and dramatically inert in spite of its many subplots and hi-jinks that ensue.
