Good action scenes interrupt mediocre action thriller trying to ape the style of Top Gun; Commando; Rambo; and all those 80s movies. The cast isn't bad though. Special shout-out to Dennis Haysbert as a memorable supporting protagonist. Michael Biehn reportedly hated working on this movie but his intense on-screen persona has more gravitas than Charlie Sheen trying to copy Tom Cruise's style. The villains are laughably ott and not memorable in the slightest.
