A solid thriller that for some reason is padded out so that it's over two hours. For no reason. Russell Crowe is very good though as the expert negotiator helping Meg Ryan locate her kidnapped husband in Colombia. Meg Ryan is sorely miscast as the beleaguered wife;I guess she felt obligated to do an action movie? The supporting cast of people you'd expect to be cast in a movie like this in 2000 like David Morse or Anthony Heald or Pamela Reed or that dude from CSI aren't bad either. It's just frustratingly slow in parts when it doesn't have to be.
