A great premise for a tense thriller begins promisingly with the attacks set in motion. But the characters are interchangeable outside of their one-note personalities. You get the nice American, the mean European, the plucky Indian, the tough cop, the mean terrorist, etc. It's too bad because the real life Taj Hotel attacks were such a gripping harrowing event.
