Speculative forerunner to modern day blockbusters like Armageddon and Deep Impact. It won a Oscar for Best special effects but they really didn’t age well. Surprisingly I was more entertained by the human drama. The moral quandary about letting who let live or die was fascinating. Richard Derr is pretty good in the lead and John Hoyt is an easy to hate antagonist.
