In this film noir-western, Randolph Scott leads a crew of treasure hunters to a remote corner of the American west in search of buried gold. Complicating matters is a woman (Ella Raines); a private detective; and the risk of in-fighting over the rumored loot. It has a tense atmosphere and benefits from Scott's reliable stoicism. We even get to hear some singing from real-life musician Josh White to lighten the mood on occasion.
