Economical western starring John Payne and Dennis O'Keefe as unlikely allies (a Texas Ranger and a Union spy) sent to Mexico to battle French saboteurs and halt a revolution. O'Keefe has some great one-liners but Payne is a tad stiff as the hero. Rhonda Fleming is as gorgeous as ever as a fiery heroine. There's some backstabbing and intrigue to keep things interesting.
