Speculative war film about a Nazi plot to kidnap Winston Churchill. Michael Caine and Robert Duvall play the Nazi officers in charge of the mission and Donald Sutherland plays a wily Irish mercenary working for them. The movie is 70 percent planning and setting up for the mission at hand. That lends it some 'realism' but it doesn't result in much action. The third act does have some neat double-crosses and twists. Michael Caine and Donald Sutherland are both good as unwilling accomplices to each other's different goals.
