A “comedic” thriller that’s surprisingly brutal with its violence and sometimes unpleasant with its humor. Jeff Goldblum and Michelle Pfeiffer don’t have the best chemistry together, but their awkward dynamic sort of works in parts. A big selling point for the movie is all the cameos by noteworthy directors. Though I think only film buffs would recognize the likes of Paul Bartel as a doorman. I was more amused by David Bowie as a sadistic assassin.
