Sports drama of a morally conflicted basketball coach trying to assemble a winning team but ashamed of the shady tactics he must resort to. Nick Nolte carries a lot of the movie whether he be shouting profanity at referees or in his quieter moments with Mary McDonnell. J.T. Walsh shows up as a slippery adversary of Nolte. Shaquille O'Neal might had done bad in later movies but he's fine here.
