Love triangle between a fugitive turned pearl diver, his wife, and the policeman looking to bring him in. It's nothing new but the South Pacific setting is interesting. It leads to random octopus battles or somebody getting a knife in the back. Humphrey Bogart is good. Supporting player E.E. Clive has a humorous role.
