Clint Eastwood plays his usual stoic macho self. But he has some good moments with costar Susan Clark. The plot is your basic "cop-chases-criminal" story. A few of the fish-out-of-water jokes are kind of funny. Like when Eastwood in his cowboy getup is walking though a hedonistic orgy of drugs and sex at a night club.
