Religious satire that tries poking fun at televangelists and the megachurch phenomenon. It goes in directions you don't expect and tries to be more even-handed at times. Regina Hall does fabulous work with a role that could had been easily a fussy shrewish wife. But instead, Regina Hall's performance makes viewers feel sympathy for her character. Sterling K. Brown is a bit more cartoony but given how animated real life televangelists are, maybe that was the joke. Speaking of which, not all of them work.
