Lavishly produced with the best intentions but it is edited weird and over-complicates a pretty simple plot. Even for a movie positioning itself as a mystery of sorts. The incredible ensemble cast isn't bad though. I liked the main trio of Christian Bale, John David Washington, and Margot Robbie together. The political thriller elements (inspired by the real life Business Plot) is fascinating for history buffs, but it feels half-baked into this sprawling whodunit.
