As expected, this spaghetti western is gritty and cynical. But that does not always mean interesting. Although there is one solid shootout halfway through the movie. It's kind of weird seeing Van Heflin in this kind of western. To no one's surprise, Klaus Kinski is the best part as a wily gunman masquerading as a preacher.
