Well directed film-noir that lays the groundwork for future thrillers like ‘Sleeping With The Enemy’ and ‘Enough’. Ida Lupino makes a sympathetic wife who discovers her conniving husband has ulterior motives for marrying her. Stephen McNally is a good fit as a dastardly dirtbag. Special mention to Peggy Dow as well.
