Rousing adventure yarn that reinvigorates the swashbuckler genre with gusto and plenty of action to spare. The swordplay and stunts are impressive but the script is literate and witty to boot. I'll admit I'm not familiar with most of the all-French cast. Eva Green is perfect casting as the bewitching yet villainous Milady De Winter. It's been a long time since an old-fashioned adventure movie of this nature has been so well done. Bravo!
