Film noir about a hostage situation but with a chilling twist. The location is a ghost town set for destruction by the military conducting a nuclear bomb test. The clock is literally ticking by the climax. The special effects for the nuclear blast are honestly quite impressive for the time. Alexis Smith is noteworthy for playing a character thoroughly unreliable in terms of a moral compass.
