Robert Stack plays a conniving gunfighter caught in the early stages of the Civil War. The two leading ladies Virginia Mayo and Ruth Roman act as the opposing angel and devil on his shoulders. Script plays with the moral ambiguity of several characters. Raymond Burr is wasted as a lackluster villain.
