While it is the third entry in the franchise Burton began, Burton is not here, and there is no denying that this was designed primarily for elementary children and to showcase the Batman toy line. Tommy Lee Jones is the largest fish out of water character who does nothing but cackle through his role. Kidman is completely wasted as a wide-eyed psychologist who is lovesick with the Batman, and the campiness Schumaker injects allows it to nearly rival a silly broadway musical.
