The second half of the movie is quite interesting but the first hour or so is a snorefest. The actual plot itself is clever but the screenplay is mostly dull with only momentary glimpses of excitement. This is a real shame as the cast and Hitchcock himself did the best they could with it. A shorter and more interesting adaptation could have resulted in a brilliant movie.
