I'll kill him! I'LL KILL HIM! - Juror #3

Lemme tell ya a little bit about myself. When I watch movies, I not only go to be entertained but to take something with me when it's finished. Now, MOST of the time it is something of a supernatural natural (almost as if God has opened up the Heaven's a said "Pay attention! This MEANS something!" and later I'll think about about it. Sometimes a movie will make me think of a ex-girlfriend or an old friend and if I ponder it long enough I will more than likely give that person a call or something. I have even had movies "speak" to me about mundane things (wow, now THAT is how I'd like to set up my living room) etc etc etc. However, ONE MOVIE comes to mind when I think about a movie that I was actively engaged in and not only impacted me right then and there, but for years and years to come...that movie is 12 Angry Men. I was in 11th Grade at DuPont High School in Belle, WV. I had one semester in Driver's Ed and the next in Law & The Legal Process. Let me tell you, I loved this class, and up until then, had NO IDEA that I loved how the law worked! During the class, we watched 12 Angry Men. 12 jurors decide the fate of a young man convicted of murder and instead of it being an open/shut case, 1 man decides to stand up against 11 others, all with deep convictions (whether right or wrong) about why this young boy is GUILTY! Throughout the course of the movie, each juror goes through his personal view and...well, I don't want to spoil it, but let me say that during the course of that movie I found my OWN perceptions being changed. My views of right vs wrong, fact vs. fiction, perception vs. assumptions, etc. I highly recommend this movie to ANYONE who wants to "jump out of the box", get away from the "cookie cutter" mentality of Hollywood for 2 hours, and open their eyes to the possibility that maybe they are "not so smart afterall"... Thanx for reading, God bless! Super Kev
