Just don't expect much, and it will be decent

I think what made this movie worthwhile to watch was that I went in expecting it to be terrible. I never really appreciated Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen in the first place. Not that I'm a huge fan of Edward, but Robert Pattinson was a little too hairy to play the part. There were a lot of miscasts. I especially didn't think Rosalie was that pretty at all. The only person who actually fit the character from the novel and looked decent in the role was Alice, and maybe Emmett. Besides the casting, the acting could have been a bit better, too.
But I have to admit that the movie was better made than I'd thought. The forest scenery was beautiful, although the whole Edward-glowing-in-the-sunlight looked wholly ridiculous. The vampires-playing-super-baseball-in-the-rain was pretty cool. And the action was not so bad. Kristen Stewart didn't do a bad job screaming and acting out being man-handled by a violent vampire.
I think that what really made watching this movie fun was going in for the premier with my friends and then having a whole theater-full of girls giggling and cheering for all their favorite parts of the novel throughout the movie...it was like one heck of a large slumber party. I just felt sorry for all the boys being dragged out to the movies and not knowing what was going on when over half the theater-full of girls giggled in anticipation.
