This was a very off beat movie--dark comedy. The movie was basically about a man who lives in this down-trodden desert town in California controlled by a bunch of kids running a meth lab. He lives a monotonous 9-5 life then comes home everyday to his sarcastic son and agoraphobic wife. However, this take a strange turn and life begins to change for this man.
I won't say that this is hilarious, but it had a decent amount of funny moments. Also, will give this film credit for maintaining its simplicty. Nothing got to exaggerated. It really maintained that day to day feel, nothing really stepped outside of that. The ridiculous scenes happened towards the end when it got "crazy" but even the scheme that the characters pulled off was so make shift that it still maintained its simplistic theme.
This is definitely rentable. I wouldn't say go to Blockbuster rentalable, but definitely Netflixable.
