Touching

This movie was surprisingly touching. It started a little slow at first, but once things started to kick off it went from being some cheap Indie flick that I was making fun of to almost bringing me to tears. I don't know how necessary it was for Magdelena to be a pregnant virgin. I think this would have gone over just as well if she did get pregnant by more commom means, but I guess it worked. Also, Carlos was also an amazing character. He depicted the struggle of being a gay Mexican-American while still trying to maintain his rough imagine. And obviously the most inspiring character of this film was Tio Tomas. I love movies and characters that bring you back down to reality and make you see things from a clear lens. I would recommend this one.
