How do I love thee, Edward Norton? Let me count the ways...Another solid performance from a solid actor. It's really a pleasure to watch him on screen every single time. I can't say that he's absolutely brilliant, but he is so good. He's just got this thing....
As for the movie itself, I really liked it a lot, though I pretty much saw the ending coming. It was either gonna be big bro or little bro...so obvious. I liked how they dealt with race. I liked that they didn't make one race look like the victim to justify absolutely hating one side or feeling pity for the other. I liked that the anger and the violence and the hate was spread out equally as twisted as that may sound.
I feel like there were some holes. It was as though there was this amazing script but it was too long so they had to cut it down and American History X was the result. However, what was given was really good. It was very interesting and very easy to watch.
