Barbara Stanwyck shines, no sizzles in this blatant pre-code rumbler. I mean, where else can you see a movie where Barbara Stanwyck is an upstanding nurse and Clark Gable is a treacherous gangster? I really enjoyed this movie, directed by the great William Wellman.
