Esther Williams in this cheesy, but good tale of "The Million Dollar Mermaid", a swimmer who overcame the hurdles in her way. She was a swimmer in real life and a decent actress. The story was so-so, it was good, got slow, then got better. I recommend it for old film lovers and appreciators of the early Technicolor area.
