The fever is hot!

A pretty good political-drama from Buñuel. The movie starts out steamily with illicit lovers trying to hide their affair. It turns into a political-thriller. As a review on IMDB says, Buñuel is no Alan J. Pakula. However, he is Buñuel. He doesn't need to use his powers as a master-surrealist. There is no use for that here. Instead, Buñuel incorporates exciting escapes and chase scenes that make a decent movie. Let's be thankful that That Obscure Object of Desire is much better and that Fievre monte a El Pao was much better than the lagging La Joven.
