The Little Motor-Car is a charming story of an older man whose crippled friend receives a motor-powered car to help him get around. Partially out of jealousy, and somewhat needing a break for his own frail legs, he decides he wants a little motor-car for himself. Ferreri marvelously directs this picture as no one else could. Almodóvar aficionados may notice that Yolanda is played by none other than Chus Lampreave who has appeared in Volver and Hable con ella, among many other of his films. Not a film to be missed if you are looking for a solid foreign film. Also note that while Ferreri is Italian, El Cochecito was filmed in Spain.
