It Sure Is Complicated, but Needs More Work

Critic Scott Foundas' review was perhaps a bit hysterical. Meryl Streep is quite good in it and Steve Martin can do no wrong. But how many times do we need to see Alec Baldwin nearly naked? And how come most of the jokes fall flat? Just because your kids text all the time does not mean they should in the movies. Nothing's happening and it doesn't move the story forward. Instead of moving with the times, Nancy Meyers should have focused more on the story, which had a lot of potential.
Really, is Nancy Meyers losing it?
