I thought this movie wouldn't be as interesting as it was. However, it's one of the best movies I've seen ALL MONTH. Performances are excellent and the story is constructed very well. It's not just about the two women; the minor characters are also very alive. Bill Nighy is usually good, but he stands out here. He is able to be very angry and yet very restrained. I was watching another movie where Nick Nolte thought that being angry meant yelling and yelling at the top pof his lungs. Jane Fonda does this too and it annoys the heck outta me. So anyway, Bill Nighy was perfect. And I'm not saying this just because he's old and creepy too. Eh!
