Gloria Swanson was great in this. Nominated for an Academy Award, I feel she was best in this role, even though Rita Hayworth and Joan Crawford have their own versions, Miss Sadie Thompson and Rain respectively. Gloria lost to Janet Gaynor this year and was nominated two more times (and lost). Still, the Academy at least recognized her and that is pretty good.
