David Gordon Green’s sequel to the 1978 classic is an okay film — It doesn’t really succeed as a horror film, but it presents an interesting evolution of Jamie Lee Curtis’ character Laurie Strode. Her confrontations with Michael Myers are some of the best moments of the film — they’re thrilling and effective — but unfortunately they don’t happen so often. It has its good moments, but ultimately it’s a fine film that could have been better.
