Shia Labeouf's brownface controversy is just the tip of the iceberg. This entire movie is the cinematic equivalent of a white guy imitating another race to look cool. Fashioned entirely out of shallow characterizations, cliches, and stereotypes, "The Tax Collector" scrapes the bottom of the barrel for an incomprehensible and poorly produced crime drama.
