I truly believe this is the worst adaptation of an American novel ever put on screen. James Franco couldn't be more inept in telling Faulkner, turning his story of death and despair into indecipherable garble. The split screen technique isn't just uninspired, but tacky to the point it makes the entire project look like a TikTok.
