The Most Overated Film I have Ever Seen

When I heard this won Best Picture over Micheal Clayton, I thought it would be great, so I decided to watch it. Shit, that was bad idea. The movie has several flaws, most prominately in he screenplay. The dialogue is so incredibley boring, I think I fell asleep four times throughout the course of this two-hour movie. This surprised me, as I love the Coen Brother's movies, particularly Fargo and their most underated movie, Burn After Reading (that movie was hilariouse), and I always thought Ethan and Joel Coen were great screenwriters, from the interesting plot and character development in Fargo and hilariouse dark humor from Burn After Reading, I was more disapointed watching this movie than I was watching Gone With the Wind. At least Gone With the Wind was intersting and well written.
There are some positive things about this movie. The most prominate is Javier Bardem's incredible performance as the hitman. Definately the best thing about this movie. However, they gave his character the stupidest name I have ever heard (Shugarr?) and his reasons for killing people was most of the time never explained, and when it was, the reason was incredibley stupid.Brolin and Jones were xcellent as well.
The ending also really killled it for me. Some parts I liked, and it was actually the only well-written scene in the movie. However, it left far to many questions unanswered. Now, they did the same with the Sopranos finale. However, they're thinking of making a Sopranos movie, so they might actually end up explaining what the hell happened. With No Country, the Coens have no intention of a sequel, and while that is good, as I do not want to see another movie like this, it was incredibley stupid for them to make an ending with so many unanswered questions. Hopefully, Ethan and Joel will not make another movie like that, as it seems they haven't with their latest film, Burn After Reading, in which they hilariousely explain what happens to every character when CIAdirectors are discussing what happened (one of the funniest scenes I have ever seen).
