I kind of liked this movie, though it was not nearly as good as the origional classic. When I first heard they were making a sequal to the best vampire movie of the 1980's, I thought, "oh, f*ck, why??" Then I heard Corey Feldman was to reprise his role as Edgar Frog, my all-time favourie vampire hunter. Then I decided to give it a shot.
I was kind of let down, but overall I liked the movie. The acting was pretty solid, especially the new guy, who was pretty good, but I think Corey Feldman held the best performance overall.
There were some parts of this movie that I did not agree with at all. Mostly, the sequel just didn't have the same feeling the origional Lost Boys had, the feeling of, well, "fun" would be the best word to use. This movie completely lost that atmosphere which we all loved so much about the first one, and instead was alot darker, something which we are not used to at all in the Lost Boys. Secondly, I kind of missed Jamison Newlander, who playedCorey Feldman's brother in the frist one. While I always liked Feldman's character alot better, seeing Edger Frog without Allen just seemed...incomplete, like it was missing something.
Overall, I thought this movie was OK, but I'd prefer the origional any day to this. I might see the third one if Feldman's still in it.
