"I want to make a movie and win an Oscar. Let's throw in a non-linear story with minimal dialog and no true intent, grandeur music to contemplate the meaning of life, and show artistic cut scenes of the landscape of Earth, and hell, why not throw in some evolution of the universe and dinosaurs. Then I'll call it "Artistic", and get the attention I deserve."
This movie is a perfect representation of how the Oscars go wrong and pick movies that simply don't deserve the attention they get. It has happened in the past, and will happen again in the future.
