Good but with some drawbacks

One of Brad Pitt's best performances in years highlights this interesting tale of a man aging backwards. Throughout his life he meets an interesting array of people that help build and shape his life, none more so than his true love Daisy, played well by Cate Blanchett.
Story is interesting and the cast is superb...but, I have to be honest, at 2 hours, 45 minutes the film does drag on. It's framed by a flashback device similar to The Bridges of Madison County that for me really got in the way of the real story. Poor Juila Ormond - all she's really given to do is sit on a bed and read a book. Other than that, it's a good cast that does well, it's a good story, just some minor drawbacks keep it from being great.
