A decent documentary about Mike Tyson's rise in the boxing world to his troubled downfall and search for redemption. There are a lot of clips from early fights that help with the storytelling, though for some reason a lot are out of order. I had forgotten how effective a boxer Tyson used to be.
If the documentary has one flaw it's that the entire film is from the view of Tyson himself. There are no other interviews, commentators, or anything ,so you only get his view. Thus you get very little of Desiree Washington, the woman who accused him of rape, and nothing from Evander Holyfield, whom Tyson bit in a fight. Getting other points of view would have been helpful, but Tyson himself actually does a pretty good job of telling his story and opening up his emotions. A good film to watch to see someone rise to the top of their game only to be done in by their own destruction.
