Decent start, but can't end strong

What starts as a suspenseful, interesting story ends up as a weird, sci-fi tale that frustrates more than entertains. The setup is intriguing enough, a couple struggling financially receive a box from a mysterious stranger, pushing it means someone will die and they get a million dollars. Of course, they push the button and then weird crap happens. The cast is engaging enough, particularly Frank Langella who's able to be mysterious enough with a character that's a little laughable. In the end, there's too many bizarre scenes that head toward a conclusion that's pretty unsatisfying.
