No fear, Julia

A strong movie that tells two stories - one of Julie Powell who, needing direction in her life, decides to cook all the recipes in Julia Child's famous cookbook and blog about it, and the other of Julia Child creating the cookbook itself, though it delves pretty deep into Child's life at the time. Both stories are entertaining enough, but the greatest part of this movie is, of course, Meryl Streep's performance, as once again we see the greatest living actress embody the role of Julia Child so effectively that you forget you're watching Streep. It's hard to imagine this movie working out at all without her in the role, and all the praise and awards and nominations she gets are 100% deserved.
