A moving film about a man who is living, he believes, to be his last day on Earth. George is grief stricken due to the loss of his lover and decides to end his life. He spends his final day getting his affairs in order so he can leave peacefully, but every encounter slowly makes him realize the value of his life.
Colin Firth gives a very good performance and has you from his opening scene. While a key element of his character is his sexual orientation, at its heart this film is about love, loss, grief, and acceptance.
