This really isn't a good movie. The premise is interesting - Scott Pilgrim must defeat the 7 ex-boyfriends of the woman he loves, Ramona. There's a lot of shout-outs to the Nintendo age, but once the plot (finally) gets going, this surprisingly gets boring fast.
I'm not sure why Scott is so in love with Ramona - the character is completely underdeveloped and we learn nothing about her. The time between the battles is too long. The writing tries so hard to be clever to a point where it becomes annoying. And Michael Cera - well, you can pretty much expect your usual nasal, high pitched, whiny voiced character. I'm looking forward to a movie where he can stop being the same thing over and over again.
