An odd, bizarre movie where this guy, Hesher, just sort of starts hanging out with a father and son who are grieving the loss of their wife/mother. I think the story tries to be a "total stranger shows people how to live" angle, but honestly, the character of Hesher is so weird that it makes absolutely zero sense that this family would just allow him to hang out. He's really not that interesting of a character either. Natalie Portman is...around, as an object of desire for the kid. All in all, this strange tale isn't really worth your time, despite the actors involved and a pretty good performance from Rainn Wilson.
