A crime movie set in the late 80s, Phoenix and Wahlberg play brothers who are connected with the Russian mafia - Phoenix being the manager of a club they hang out at, Wahlberg the cop trying to bring them down. They become connected when their family is targeted, including the police chief Duvall, also their father. There isn't much here you haven't seen before, although the actors are all great, including Mendes in the obligatory girlfriend role. However, it all builds to a climax that isn't really satisfying. When it was over, I was left thinking "was that it?"
