I found the movie to be a bit disappointing. It just didn't fit all together right, which is weird as that usually watch Shyamalan is good at. Overall, I liked the actors in their parts, the action was pretty good, and the special effects were great. There was too much narration and telling of the story rather than showing of the story. Some scenes and parts really worked and then other just didn't making it difficult to review the movie as a whole. The story needed to be focused rather than trying to cram in as much as the show (which is great) into the movie. The result is that the action to talking ratio is way off and the pace of the movie is quite slow in contrast to what I think is a well paced tv show. All that being said, I would probably watch the second installment, which should be better as there shouldn't be as much of a temptation to tell the audience as detail of the world. Hopefully the plot will just be able to develop.
